Yes! Hot linkers suck. They copy your links to your download pages, zip files and eBooks and give them away as a courtesy to their visitors. One of my oldest domains had been dedicated to giveaway information and download-able files, software, zip files, eBooks and the like for many years now. And it has been a hot bed for hot linking thieves.

Hot linking is when a domain owner offers free or paid products but doesn’t host the aucual files themselves. To save web space or time and energy they link directly to your download page or directly to the zip files on your site. It saves them a purchase and makes them look cool to be offering all these free downloads.

There are others out there that like to share your download page or zip files with their buddies. There are special forums and member sites online created  just to share and pass links to other peoples products, especially paid products. They share log-ins and passwords also.

Smells like total scam to me. I looked and I’m sure you looked too.  These websites have been popping up all over the place promising you easy fast cash from posting links to Google. With so many unweb savy people out of work and these sites just screaming Make Money in Your Sleep, no wonder so many people get caught up in it. I really hate things like this. If making $5000 a month was as easy as posting links on Google, don’t you think everyone would be doing it AND raving about it. I mean how many mailing lists are you on?

I can’t help but wonder how many people are handing over their credit card numbers to these people? 

By taking a closer look at the websites we can pick up some tell tale signs that scream total scam, hide your credit card and RUN. I like this suggestion from “Strangely” on this Google Forum

EVERYONE!   Just tell everyone you know, at the soonest opportunity, to get the hell away from anything that looks like this or sounds like this.  If you see a (Advertising AdWords ect) link, click it like mad and burn up their adsense funding.
